“painting is first and foremost a declaration and display of temperament. Before all else, it is this we feel when we engage as a viewer with a painting”. – Ian McKeever
Born in Wales, Louise Burston moved to Burry Port in 2014 in order to paint the landscape. She is committed to abstraction although her work often encompasses fragmented figurative elements, adding and inventing in order to refrain from description. She has exhibited in London and across the UK and has work in public and private collections. Louise has a BA and MA in Fine Art and is a part time lecturer at Swansea College of Art and Design, having taught painting and drawing at all levels for over 15 years.
