Born in Cardiff, Louise Burston now lives and paints in Burry Port, West Wales. Louise’s work has been exhibited in London and across the UK and is in public and private collections. She is a part time lecturer in contextual practices at Swansea College of Art and has taught painting and drawing at all levels for over 15 years.

2010 Part time lecturer (0.2) in Contextual Studies at Swansea School of Art. Sole responsibility for planning and implementing the first year theory module. Set up the Redland Art Group, teaching painting and drawing to a group of 12 retired adults.
2009 Set up ‘Zero Lubin’( http://www.zerolubin.org), publishing and art initiative, in partnership with performance artist and writer Gerry King.
2007 Initiated and project managed ‘An-froo-ka’, a site-specific art exhibition at Bristol Zoo Gardens. Organised a related talk at Bristol City Museum with contributors from the fields of archaeology, anthropology ,architecture and artist Richard Billingham.
2006 Formed B& C Projects. B&C contributed to the planning of Becks Futures and The British Art Show in Bristol, liasing with The Arnolfini, The Hayward Gallery, ICA, BVAC, and Spike Island. B&C obtained a project development grant from ACE.
2004 Corporate identity, marketing and outreach for West Dean Open Air Museum, Singleton, W. Sussex
2004 Worked with Chichester Festival Theatre and BBC Concert Orchestra in primary schools creating artworks inspired by music. The resulting works were performed and exhibited at the Festival Theatre.The project was documented and broadcast by Radio 3.
2003 Initiated, curated and organised ‘Unpacked’, an exhibition with Artel Studio Trust and Chichester District Museum. Obtained ACE funding and private sponsorship. Organised artists talks and workshops for schools and general public.
2001 Organised and co-curated a retrospective exhibition of the artist Kit Barker at the Otter Gallery, University College Chichester. Produced a supporting catalogue and publicity material and also organised an accompanying public lecture at Pallant House Gallery, Chichester.
2000 Inititated a Public Art Project to produce banners for Chichester Festivities 2000 which were exhibited at the District Museum and around Chichester city centre.
1999 Founding member and director of Artel Studio Trust Ltd, an artists group for 25 professional artists in the South East of England.
